Sheffield Winter Garden, 90 Surrey Street

Nowhere is the battle for gender equality more urgent than in Latin America, where violence against women and girls is pervasive.
Dr Lauren Rea, a researcher from the School of Languages and Cultures, is working with a legacy publishing house in Argentina to promote images of women’s past and present contributions to Latin American society.
Showcasing Dr Rea’s research on Argentina’s Billiken magazine, the world’s longest-running children’s magazine, the exhibition will juxtapose historical, gendered images from the magazine against inspiring images from the ‘100 Great Latin American Women’ project.
No booking necessary.
